I make this when I can’t be bothered to make proper icing. Mix 50g icing sugar with 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice. Whisk until smooth and very slowly add water until it is somewhere between a liquid and a paste and slowly falls off the whisk. Pour over the cake and spread out to the edge. It should drizzle down the sides to pleasing effect.
